My Story
My name is Mesha and I’m a personal trainer and advocate for the chronically ill community. Having a stoma myself, I use my platform to raise awareness for those with my condition as well as providing education that aims to make living with invisible disabilities more manageable.
Ulcerative Colitis
At the age of 23 I suffered a burst appendix, which ultimately led to me developing Ulcerative Colitis; a form of Inflammatory Bowel Disease. I found living with the condition isolating and often debilitating, trialling numerous medications unsuccessfully over the course of three years and ultimately making the decision to have a stoma bag fitted.
Connecting With People
Having a bag had such a positive impact on my quality of life I started blogging under the alias Mr Colitis Crohns. Sharing my journey and connecting with people across the globe, I now have over 3 million followers across all platforms, am the ambassador for Coloplast who make my medical supplies and am a patient advocate and board member for ASGBI (Association of Surgeons GB).
Designing And Testing
After two years of designing and testing, I’m proud to say I can already offer one of the most premium stoma support products on the market. But it doesn’t stop there – our team is in the process of developing a range of nutritional supplements specific to the needs of IBD sufferers. We continue to expand and develop, all in aid of supporting those under the umbrella of invisible disabilities
